Directions to the
Old Stables Cottage

From the M27
Turn off the motorway at Junction 2, the A326, signposted to Fawley and Beaulieu. Follow the road south until you reach the Beaulieu road where you turn to travel across the open forest and through the village. At the T junction of the B3054 turn left towards Lymington. About a mile along this road take the left fork, the B3065, again signposted to Lymington. Hatchet Pond is on your right. About 100 yards further on take the left again, this time signposted to East Boldre and East End.
Continue through the village of East Boldre for about 2.5 miles (do not underestimate the distance!). Look for a large white house with a thatched bakehouse which stands on the forest. This is Turnstone Cottage. Next is Myrtle, marked on a stone beside the gate, then the drive for Old Stables Cottage.

From Lymington
Follow the signs for the Isle of Wight ferry and, after passing the ferry entrance, continue along the road for 3.5 miles, past the East End Arms public house and the turnings for Norley Wood (on the left) and Bucklers Hard (on the right). Old Stables Cottage stands about 250 yards after the Bucklers Hard turning, and 50 yards past the high hedge on the left.
